Is Who Tried free to use?

Yes, the basic version of Who Tried is completely free and includes silent photo capture and private storage.

How do I uninstall the app?

Because Who Tried uses Device Administrator permissions to monitor the lock screen, you must first go to App Settings > Disable Admin Permissions before you can uninstall it via the standard Android method.

Are my photos uploaded to the cloud?

No. Your privacy is our priority. All captured photos are stored locally on your device in a secure, hidden folder. We never upload your data to any servers.

Why does the app need Camera permission?

The app requires camera access to capture a photo of the intruder when a wrong password is entered. Without this permission, the app cannot provide evidence.

Does it work with fingerprint unlock?

Android's security model only reports failed attempts for PIN, Pattern, or Password. Fingerprint failures are handled by the system and are currently not reported to third-party apps for security reasons.
